I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor and the Co-Director of the ATOM Think Tank within the Information Systems and Business Analytics Department at the College of Business. My previous career was that of a Business Continuity Services Manager and Senior Project Manager for the Division of Information Technology. My role was to work with both Division and University Leadership to ensure IT services were periodically tested and available during and after emergencies. As a Senior Project Manager, I ensured the delivery of critical and important IT projects for the University. I have been teaching both as an adjunct and full time instructor for the past 18 years. I have taught both undergraduate and graduate courses. Courses that I have taught have been in Strategic Management, Project Management, Security Risk Management and Organizational Cyber Resilience , Business Statistics and Analytics, Information Systems Management, First Year Experience, Strategies for Student Success and Introduction to Honors and Leadership. I am a three time graduate from Florida International University. I possesses a Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. I am a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), American Society of Quality (ASQ) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). I currently possess a professional project management certification - PMP (Project Management Professional) from the PMI. I believe my passion about FIU reflects in my years of University service and committment to serving our FIU community. I have been a member of FIU’s Commencement Committee for over 12 years and continue to serve in a number of academic committees. I also serve as the faculty advisor for FIU's Aikido Club.
