I am currently the Business Continuity Services Manager and Senior Project Manager for the Division of Information Technology. I work with both Division and University Leadership to ensure IT services have been periodically tested and are available during and after emergencies. As a Senior Project Manager, I ensure the delivery of critical and important IT projects for the Division. I have been an adjunct instructor for the past 16 years, teaching a range of undergraduate and graduate courses. Courses that I have taught have been the First Year Experience (SLS 1501), Strategies for Success (SLS 1510), Introduction to Honors and Leadership (IDH 1931), Project Management (ISM 6316) and Security Risk Management and Organizational Cyber Resilience (ISM 6575). I am a three time graduate from Florida International University. I possesses a Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. I am a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), American Society of Quality (ASQ) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). I currently possess a professional project management certification - PMP (Project Management Professional) from the PMI. I believe my passion about FIU reflects in my years of University service. I have been a member of FIU’s Commencement Committee for over 10 years. I have previously served as a mentor in the Fostering Panther Pride Program as well as a member in the University’s Access and Equity Committee.
