Professional Activities

I am currently an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Information Systems and Business Analytics (ISBA) department at the College of Business. Prior to becoming an Assistant Teaching Professor, I held several administrative and IT positions throughout the University for 26 years. Positions that I held were Network Infrastructure Engineer, Project Management Office Director, and Business Continuity Manager. During my administrative roles at FIU, I was also an adjunct for 18 years having taught both undergraduate and graduate courses. Courses that I currently teach are Project Management, Security Risk Management and Organizational Cyber Resilience , Business Statistics and Analytics and Information Systems Management. I am a three-time graduate from Florida International University having earned a Doctoral degree in Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. I am a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), American Society of Quality (ASQ) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). I currently possess a professional project management certification - PMP (Project Management Professional) from the PMI. I serve in several academic and administrative committees within the University. I also serve as a co-faculty advisor for the Association of Information (AIS) Student Chapter. My passion for teaching and serving the University is demonstrated in my resolve to continue to improve my teaching approach and active participation within the FIU community.
