Dr. Mido Chang is Professor of Leadership and Professional Studies at Florida International University. Dr. Chang teaches research method courses including Hierarchical Linear Models, Multivariate Statistics, Structural Equation Modeling, Multiple Regression, and Quantitative Research Methods in Education. Dr. Chang’s research deals with the issues of equitable access to educational resources for racial and linguistic minority students. Her studies have employed longitudinal multilevel analysis, survival analysis, and multivariate statistics to large nationally representative databases, examining the effects of social context, school programs, and teacher instructional practices on the academic performance of immigrant and minority students.  Dr. Chang’s research projects have been funded by the Discovery Research K-12 Program of the National Science Foundation (NSF) and from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
