PhD in Business Administration

The FIU PhD in Business Administration connects you with a world-class faculty that develops your research and teaching skills in preparation for a successful academic career. Our PhD program emphasizes a strong foundation in both methodological and theoretical training. Students engage in collaborative work with faculty by developing skills in formulating, conducting, and communicating quality research.

Choose from four core concentrations:

• Accounting
• Finance (will not be accepting applications for the Fall 2025 term)
• Information Systems and Business Analytics
• Management and International Business
  • The International Business (IB) Department (will not be accepting applications for the Fall 2025 term)
  • The Global Leadership and Management (GLAM) Department (will be accepting applications for the Fall 2025 term)
• Marketing

The Department of Finance and the Department of International Business will not be accepting applications for the Fall 2025 term.

Applications for the Fall 2025 term will be available September 2024. The deadline to submit all official documents is January 15, 2025.

Graduate applicants: If your post-secondary educational history includes coursework outside the United States, you MUST submit a course-by-course credential translation and evaluation, with grade point average (GPA) calculation included, for all non-U.S. coursework. FIU accepts evaluations/translations from any NACES member evaluation service.
