"Three years of working experience taught me a multitude of skills, ranging from interpersonal skills to technical ones, but I had felt that an element was missing. I always had the thirst to kickstart my own business and I realized I needed to pursue an MBA degree."
The reason I selected the International MBA at FIU
The search began early last year sending out applications to various B-schools. Eventually, it narrowed down to two, out of which FIU was best placed for pursuing a business course. I read more about the university and came across a plethora of testimonials recommending FIU for MBA, especially due to its world-class faculty. Three years of working experience taught me a multitude of skills, ranging from interpersonal skills to technical ones, but I had felt that an element was missing. I always had the thirst to kickstart my own business and I realized I needed to pursue an MBA degree. Having read about different types of MBAs, I felt the one with the international element will be the most useful for my future aspirations. Since FIU offered all the modules I was looking for, I decided to pursue the IMBA from FIU.
The most valuable experience at FIU
The range of the course modules and the structure intrigued me the most as it focuses on group assignments and projects. At first, I wasn’t expecting an interactive classroom session because of the remote arrangement but the way each class was scheduled with mini class assignments enabled me to work with people from different backgrounds. Interaction with multicultural people broadened my mental beachhead. In a nutshell, I would say I love/d to work with people from different nationalities.
The unique benefits of studying in Miami
One of the reasons I chose FIU was because Miami is home to one of the most dynamic global business communities. This would entail multiple employment opportunities along with the business environment all around! Organizations you would have never thought of even visiting, are just around the corner. Above all this, I love the weather and the cool breeze in Miami. The weather never ceases to impress me every time I step out of the house.
