The events of 2020 have taught us two valuable lessons:
- Logistics and supply chain management play a major role in making businesses operate successfully and
- There is a growing need to develop dynamic and accessible online graduate programs.
Florida International University’s (FIU) Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (MSLSCM) on-campus program has long been held on our Miami campus, in a bustling international business city, offering flexible weekend classes to busy professionals who wish to earn an advanced and accredited logistics degree.
The Chapman Graduate School of Business announced in 2020 the launch of an online Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (MSLSCM) with the first cohort set to start in January 2021.
Benefits of Attending an Online Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program
1. Earn an accredited advanced logistics and supply chain degree from anywhere.
FIU is the 4 th largest public university in the U.S. with a diverse student population of more than 62,000. FIU’s College of Business is home to some of the top-ranked business programs and faculty in the U.S.
But we understand that not everyone can pick up their belongings and join us in South Florida, specifically graduate students who are usually full-time employees or have family responsibilities.
The fully online program will welcome business professionals from around the U.S. and the world who will get the same world-class education as our on-campus students.
2. Learn from the top business professionals who have worked in prominent logistics hubs.
One of the unique aspects of FIU’s master’s program in logistics and supply chain management is our talented faculty. FIU is fortunate to be located in Miami, one of the largest logistics hubs in the U.S.
Our program is taught by faculty who have extensive experience in the industry and who have held strategic positions at Microsoft, FedEx, Bacardi, HP, Assurant, Farm Stores, Motorola, AeroThrust, Amazon, etc., and several have owned their own distribution, shipping, and import/export companies.
3. Build a robust and supportive professional network.
A professional network is invaluable and has the potential to improve your business and personal life. One of the benefits of a graduate program is building relationships with like-minded professionals and finding mentors.
Our online program is no different. Our cohort-style program means you will complete the program with the same group of students. Our innovative technology not only allows students to interact with each other, but with faculty and guest lecturers who are working in the industry right now or have worked in it previously.
4. Opportunity to learn about new technology in logistics and supply chain.
Faculty at higher education institutions are highly involved in research and the creation of new technologies that will enhance their industries. FIU’s dynamic and relevant curriculum has a three-part focus, one being logistic technologies that are vital to a successful business.
Pioneers in Online Education
As a pioneer in online education for over two decades, FIU has successfully launched numerous online versions of its on-campus programs. The new online MSLSCM program is an excellent opportunity to provide advanced specialized education to those outside of South Florida who may not otherwise have access to it.
