Master of Science in Information Systems Advisory Board

The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) Advisory Board is a diverse group of senior business and technology experts who are key partners to the success of the MSIS program! By serving as the University link to the business community, the Advisory Board provides vital information about the changing needs, trends and challenges of the market. Their unique and keen insight helps to inform existing and new initiatives, and guide the general strategic direction of the MSIS program.

The MSIS Advisory Board actively:

  • Advise on best practices and emerging trends in the business environment, job market, and in the demand for professional skills.
  • Provide insight to guide the quality of the MSIS program curriculum and methodology, and to aid the development of new programs that align with market conditions and adequately address business needs.
  • Act as ambassadors for the MSIS program by communicating its vision and objectives, to extend the reach and educational reputation of the MSIS program, locally, regionally and internationally.
  • Assist with securing long-term funding for the MSIS program through outreach to business contacts and community partners.
  • Engage with students, serving as advocates and mentors for current students and alumni of the MSIS program.
  • Assist in the creation and expansion of student placement opportunities by pursuing industry partnerships and development programs.
  • Recommend new avenues and opportunities for student recruitment.
