Application & Requirements

The Online MS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program will adhere to the general admission procedures outlined by the FIU University Graduate School (UGS). Completed applications will be evaluated by an Admissions Committee.

To be eligible for admission to the program, students must:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university

  2. Be in good standing at all previously-attended colleges and universities.

  3. Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4-point scale) in all of their upper-division coursework or have earned a graduate degree with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA

  4. Have at least 3 years of professional work experience or score at least 500 on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the equivalent on the Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

Note: If you have ever taken any graduate courses previous to your enrollment in our program, you must notify us immediately, as this may affect your ability to graduate from the Online MS in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program. It is the responsibility of the applicant to inform the program about any previous graduate record.

Application Process (All Applicants)

  • STEP 1: Apply for the program
    • Complete the online application for admission.
    • Pay a $30 application fee. Most major credit cards are accepted. Checks or money orders are also accepted and should be made payable to Florida International University.
  • STEP 2: Submit all materials

    1. Official transcripts of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university. Your academic records must be sent directly to us by your previous educational institution(s).

      • Transcripts: Yearly or semester records that indicate the number of lecture and/or laboratory hours and the grade or mark received in each course.

      • Diplomas: for all degrees you have received, with the title of degree and date conferred.

      • If the language of instruction at your institution was not English, then you must provide the original-language copies of all transcripts and diplomas as described above AND:

        • A separate English-language translation of all academic records. The translation should either come from a professional, certified translator. It must contain all information shown on the original-language documents and “mirror” them as precisely as possible.

        Please note that FIU accepts transcript and diploma translations, and all evaluations of official academic records are to be performed by FIU staff only. Some suggested agencies are found on the University Graduate School website.

    2. A current resume including detailed logistics & SCM experience, if any.

    3. Provide three letters of recommendation from professional supervisors and/or former faculty that attest to the applicant’s educational background, motivation, and analytical skills;

    4. Statement of purpose outlining your professional goals in pursuing the Online MS in Logistics & SCM degree and why you would be an ideal candidate for admission into the program.

    5. Applicants from non-English speaking countries, including internationally educated American students, must demonstrate proficiency in English. FIU only accepts test scores sent directly from the testing agency as official. FIU’s institution code is 5206.

      FIU accepts the following tests as proof of English proficiency:

      • TOEFL iBT/PBT: 4.5 on the iBT TOEFL (Effective January 21, 2026; for tests taken prior to this date, the required minimum score is 80 on the iBT, or equivalent. Please see the ETS TOEFL iBT Score Understanding page for more information.)
      • IELTS: 6.5
      • Duolingo English Test: 110
      • 53 Pearson Test of English – Academic
      • Cambridge English – Advanced
      • FIU English Language Institute: Certification of satisfactory completion of all content areas with at least level six proficiency (Program details)

    Florida Residents: Two proofs of residency. Documents must be dated one year prior to the term you are seeking admissions. For a list of acceptable documents please visit the Florida Residency for Tuition page.

  • STEP 3: Check Application Status
