Patrick J. Dyer

Patrick Dyer currently serves as CEO of DigitalEra Group, a premier Cybersecurity firm he co-founded in 2000, dedicated to providing cybersecurity solutions and services to businesses, education and governmental agencies throughout the US and Latin America. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, for decades Mr. Dyer has built vendor relationships with a portfolio of world-class IT solutions, gaining DigitalEra access to the most sophisticated security products in the market, while holding top level accreditations with each. Mr. Dyer leads a talented team of security experts whose primary goal is to help customers prevent security breaches and mitigate threats. Mr. Dyer has more than 25 years of experience in information technology sales and management, with a strong track record of providing service excellence, required to stay competitive, drive net new opportunities and maintain crucial customer and vendor relationships in today's market. Prior to DigitalEra Group, he served in key management roles at Microsoft and Merisel Latin America.

Mr. Dyer also is an active Angel investor with a focus on Cybersecurity start-ups that are addressing Supply Chain vulnerabilities and Software as a Service companies focused on next generation educational platforms. His last exit was on June 2026 when Accenture announced a combined $4.18 billion deal to acquire a majority stake in Dragos, alongside full acquisitions of NetRise and runZero, to build an end-to-end industrial cybersecurity platform.

Mr. Dyer is a passionate entrepreneur with a strong drive to spark economic development growth through local community contributions. He co-founded Secure Miami which is South Florida's premier Cybersecurity conference. He's an active member of Florida International University's Panther Athletic Fund and the University of Miami Golden Canes Society. Mr. Dyer also actively contributes to the United Way via Florida International University Philanthropy foundation and his membership in the Tocqueville Society. Other philanthropic initiatives Mr. Dyer is passionate about are TSC Alliance, Sebastian Strong, Carlito's House, Castaways Against Cancer, Autism Speaks, and the Jackson Health Foundation.

Mr. Dyer graduated high school from Christopher Columbus where he served as Board Member from January 2017 to May 2021, and was Chair of its Technology Committee. He began his undergraduate educational career in the University of Florida, ultimately transferring to the University of Miami. He holds a bachelor's degree of Business Administration and graduated in the top fifteen percentile of his class achieving President's Honor Roll and membership into the Golden Key International Honor Society. Mr. Dyer currently serves as Advisory Board Member at the City of Doral since May 2023. He has been recently recognized as one of the Power Leaders 250 by the South Florida Business Journal for two consecutive years in 2025 and 2026, an honor that highlights the region's most influential executives driving innovation and economic impact.

Mr. Dyer is currently a great sports enthusiast, supporting each local Miami team at heart. He spends his free time traveling and with family.
