FIU Business has launched uConnect, a new all-in-one virtual career services center designed to centralize career planning, employer engagement and professional development resources for students and alumni.
Developed by the Office of Business Career Management, uConnect replaces the college’s previous embedded career services webpage with a standalone, purpose-built platform at businesscareerhub.fiu.edu.

The new site expands functionality and visibility, transforming what was once a static subpage into a live comprehensive digital hub.
Among the key upgrades are six dedicated audience channels — undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, employers, donors, and faculty and staff — replacing the former generic student/employer split.
The platform also introduces 10 major-specific career pathways, allowing students in areas such as accounting, finance and marketing to access tailored industry content.
uConnect features action-based navigation menus focused on résumé development, interview preparation, salary negotiation and networking, tools that were not previously available.
A real-time events feed with RSVP links now appears directly on the homepage, eliminating the need for students to search externally for programming.
The site also includes a filterable resource library with templates, guides and job boards.
“The launch of uConnect marks a significant evolution in how we deliver career support,” said John Nykolaiszyn, director of the Office of Business Career Management. “We’ve created a centralized, student-first platform that reduces friction, increases access and better connects our Panthers with meaningful career opportunities.”
The Office of Business Career Management is located in CBC 121 and can be reached at 305-348-7396 or cms@fiu.edu.
