The Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida International University (FIU) and the Federation of Binational Chambers of Commerce (FEBICHAM) – a Miami-based network of binational chambers that link U.S. businesses with international markets – have formalized a new strategic partnership aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship, expanding cross-border opportunities, and increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Under the alliance, FEBICHAM’s 15 affiliated binational and multinational chambers of commerce will gain complimentary access to the FSBDC at FIU’s suite of services, including one-on-one consulting, specialized training, educational workshops, webinars, and entrepreneurial support. The collaboration also will foster shared resources, joint events, and expert-driven programs to help businesses innovate and grow in an increasingly global economy.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to empowering business leaders with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed,” said Brian Van Hook, regional director of the FSBDC at FIU. “By working together with FEBICHAM, we are creating a stronger foundation for international business growth.”
FEBICHAM leadership echoed the importance of the alliance, noting that it will expand opportunities for member chambers and their networks.
“This collaboration provides a gateway to resources and expertise that will allow our members to compete more effectively in the marketplace,” said Patricio Sepulveda, FEBICHAM’s president.
