Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) launched a pilot project with 10 online courses in 1999 and has continued to expand those offerings. To meet the growing demand, a trend magnified by the COVID-19 pandemic, FIU Business is introducing new master’s programs in accounting, finance and logistics and supply chain management for the 2020 – 2021 academic year.
The new 14-month Online Master of Science in Finance program introduces a Financial Innovation Track, a series of three technology-focused courses designed to complement the traditional nine-course graduate finance curriculum.
The new 10-month Online Master of Accounting program will bring the coursework and contents of the college’s well-regarded on-campus Master of Accounting program into a fully online delivery mode, as an additional option for prospective accounting professionals.
The new Online Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program, also 10 months long, is designed to give students insights into managing the dynamics of supply chain, a field with enormous relevance in the age of COVID-19 and the challenges it has presented.
FIU Business now offers 10 fully online MBA and specialized master’s programs. Its online MBA program is currently ranked No. 3 in the U.S. and No. 9 in the world by the QS World University Rankings. The college is currently ranked No. 22 in the U.S. for its online master’s programs by U.S. News & World Report.
