MyAccounts Password

To access your FIU student accounts, you will first need to create your FIU universal password. View instructions here.

  • To log into MyAccounts, please enter your PantherID number (found on your admission letter) and your temporary password, which is your date of birth in DDMonYYYY format (e.g. January 26, 2018 is 26Jan2018). You will then be asked to create your permanent password and set up security questions for your account.

PantherSoft: MyFIU Account

Your account is your personalized online student portal that allows you to:

  • Manage your personal information
  • Check your admission status
  • View your class schedule
  • Pay for your tuition and fees
  • Manage your financial aid
  • View your unofficial transcript
  • Request your official transcript
  • Keep up with your degree requirements by viewing your degree audit


Your FIU student email address can also be found in your MyFIU account. This is listed under the “Personal Information” section of the Student Center in your account.

Account Email and Microsoft 365 Apps

All fully admitted students receive a personal FIU email account, through which all official communication from the university will be sent. This includes e-mail from university leadership, general administrative units, program administration, and faculty. You are encouraged to check your FIU student email daily for important program updates, notifications and reminders, event notices, course updates, and faculty correspondence emails.

PantherMail is powered by Microsoft and provides FIU students with many useful applications. Upon graduation your e-mail account will continue to remain active.

The FIU Mobile App

FIU Mobile allows the University community to stay connected. You have access to view the FIU academic calendar, view and pay for classes, view the campus map and parking information, and much more.

Canvas: Student Learning Management System

Canvas is the official online learning management system that allows you to access and manage your course learning materials, including; course syllabi, class content, assignments, grades, etc.

Once fully registered you will gain access to your Canvas courses on the first day of classes. You must maintain good financial standing with the university in order to continue to have Canvas access throughout the semester.
