Impact MBA

The business degree for those committed to making a social impact.

Sustainability is relevant to all industries, and increasingly, we recognize that business can be a unique agent for addressing the world’s most pressing problems. As a result, managers who can develop competitive, profitable solutions built on rigorous business analysis of social and environmental sustainability challenges are in high demand.

This is why the Impact MBA is an ideal option for any professional regardless of their career path – from the general manager to the functional expert. Developed in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Impact MBA is the first-ever MBA program co-created with a regional multilateral development bank that brings to the table an in-depth knowledge of sustainable development.

Using practical case studies focused on the Latin American and Caribbean region, the Impact MBA provides corporate sustainability tools and strategic insights to help managers guide their organizations into the future while generating growth in their communities. Students will also be exposed to global business and government leaders through the IDB's ties in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region.

Working with regional partners Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and Universidad de los Andes, this program not only focuses on business and sustainability in Latin America and the Caribbean, it also integrates sustainability into traditional MBA courses, developing a new cadre of Latin American business leaders whose understanding of sustainable development is as strong as their business acumen.

In addition to developing technical business skills, the 16-month Impact MBA will explore the dynamics and impact of corporations in managing human, social, financial, and natural resources. The curriculum will deliver operative learning experiences and practical management techniques for meeting today’s sustainability challenges.
