Master of Science in FinanceScholarships

The College offers a number of scholarship opportunities provided through the generosity of both individuals and corporations. Most scholarships are awarded in the summer for the following academic year.

Scholarship award will vary in amount, depending on the scholarship, the qualifications of the recipient, and the number of qualified applicants. To be eligible to apply for scholarships, applicants must be seeking a degree in a program offered within the college.

College of Business General Scholarship

Several Scholarships are available to students that meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate and Undergraduate students
  • Enrolled in the Accounting, Finance, or Management Program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Recipient will be chosen solely on merit

BDO, USA, LLP Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a student that meets the following criteria:

  • Graduate and Undergraduate senior students
  • Enrolled in the Accounting
  • Minimum 3.25 GPA
  • High Level of Community Involvement

Accounting General Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a student that meets the following criteria:

  • Graduate and Undergraduate students
  • Majoring in Accounting
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Recipient will be chosen based solely on merit

Crystal Advisors Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a student that meets the following criteria:

  • Graduate and Undergraduate(Senior Level) students
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Must demonstrate financial need per FAFSA form
  • Resident of South Florida

Randy Green Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a student that meets the following criteria:

  • Graduate student in Accounting Program
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Actively seeking CPA Certification
  • Priority to South Florida residents
  • Must attend a chapter meeting

Sydney Roslow Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a student that meets the following criteria:

  • Graduate and Undergraduate students in the Business and Marketing program
  • Must attend or have attended classes on the BBC campus
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Catherine & Malcolm Butters Real Estate Award

The Catherine & Malcolm Butters Real Estate Scholarship will be awarded competitively and merit based and subject to availability to a MS in International Real Estate student. This opportunity is provided through the generosity of Mr. Malcolm Butters, and will be awarded when the scholarship is available at the MSIRE Graduation dinner. The scholarship award is between $10,000 to $25,000 and will be disbursed to cover partial of the student’s loans. The scholarship applicant must meet the following criteria: Must have a passion for the Real Estate field, be enrolled in and graduating from the Master of Science in International Real Estate program, minimum GPA of 3.25, must have proof of student loans (graduate), must have a commitment to a career in the field of real estate displayed by work in the master’s program and professional accomplishments, must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

Jerome Bain Endowed Scholarship

At least one scholarship of up to $2,500 based upon availability is made available by the Jerome Bain Endowed Scholarship Fund. The award is based on competitive merit and will be selected from prospective students that have applied and have been admitted to the MSIRE Program. Applicants will provide a short (no more than 500 word statement) on how they would benefit from the scholarship and the MSIRE Program. Additional documentation other than that required under the normal application process is not required. Prospective students must submit their scholarship application package 8 weeks prior to the start of the program to be considered for this scholarship.

ULI Chapman Graduate School Scholarship

At least one MSIRE ULI Chapman Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 based upon availability is made available by the Chapman Graduate School of Business for students affiliated with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council. The award is based on competitive merit and will be selected from prospective students that have applied and have been admitted to the MSIRE Program and in order to be considered for the scholarship, the prospective student must be a member in good standing of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council at the time of application to the MSIRE Program. The award will be based on competitive merit and will be selected from applicants for the scholarship. Applicants will provide a short (no more than 500 word statement) on how they would benefit from the scholarship and the MSIRE Program. Additional documentation other than that required under the normal application process is required (see application form) such as proof of ULI membership in good standing. Prospective students must submit their scholarship package application 8 weeks prior to the start of the program to be considered for this scholarship.

Miami Realtors Chapman Graduate School Scholarship (MSIRE Scholarships)

At least one MSIRE Miami Realtors Chapman Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 based upon availability is made available by the Chapman Graduate School of Business for students affiliated with Miami Realtors. In order to be considered for the scholarship, the prospective students must have applied and have been admitted to MSIRE and must be a member in good standing of Miami Realtors at the time of application to the MSIRE Program. The award will be based on competitive merit and will be selected from applicants for the scholarship. Applicants will provide a short (no more than 500 word statement) on how they would benefit from the scholarship and the MSIRE Program. Additional documentation other than that required under the normal application process is required (see application form) such as proof of Miami Association Realtors membership in good standing. Prospective students must submit their scholarship application package 8 weeks prior to the start of the program be considered for this scholarship.

In order to be considered for the scholarship, the prospective student must have applied and have been admitted to the MSIRE Program and must be a member in good standing of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) at the time of application to the MSIRE Program. This scholarship is available to most qualified students admitted to the Master of Science in human Resource Management from each cohort. The scholarship amount is $5,000.00.

MS in Human Resources Management FIU Employee Scholarship

This scholarship is available to most qualified FIU employee admitted to the Master of Science in human Resource Management from each cohort, the scholarship amount is $5,000.00.

  • Student must show proof of employment at FIU
  • Be admitted to MSHRM program
  • Submit proof of employment at FIU to MSHRM Program at mshrm@fiu.edu

MS in Human Resources Management Book Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students who have shown great involvement in classes. Scholarships are awarded each semester, the scholarship amount is $1,000.00. There is no application for this scholarship, students will be nominated by professors and these nominations will be provided to the program manager. Selected students will be notified by email by the program manager.

International MBA Merit Scholarship

Merit scholarships for the International MBA are subject to fund availability and reviewed on a competitive basis, as follows:

  • Completed scholarship application
  • Current Resume
  • One-page written statement describing the reasons why the applicant merits the scholarship
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • 3.25 GPA and GMAT score of 600 – eligible for an award of 25-50% of tuition
  • 3.5 GPA and GMAT of 700 – eligible for an award for up to 100% of tuition

State of Florida- Clay Ford Scholarship for Minority Students

To encourage students to remain in school for the fifth year required to obtain a CPA license, a fifth-year minority scholarship program has been established, setting aside $200,000 per year in scholarships. Eligibility criteria for receipt of a scholarship includes at a minimum:

  • Financial need
  • Ethnicity, gender or racial minority status pursuant to section 288.703(3) F.S.
  • Scholastic ability and performance (including the intention of sitting for the CPA exam)
  • Completion of 120 credit hours from an accredited institution in Florida
  • Florida residency

If requirements are met and money is available, applicants may be eligible for scholarships from $3,000 to $6,000 per semester, which are awarded for a maximum of two semesters.
