Jamie Levenshon
Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Division
Jamie Levenshon is a trusted commercial real estate insurance expert, leading a national practice that insures over 60 million square feet of shopping centers across 17 states. As part of Insurance Office of America (IOA), she brings over a decade of experience in structuring sophisticated risk management programs for commercial property owners, developers, and investors.
Jamie’s deep-rooted understanding of commercial real estate stems from a lifetime in the industry. She is the daughter of Ira Levenshon, a seasoned commercial real estate developer who owned and operated over 2 million square feet of shopping centers and hotels. Growing up immersed in asset management, leasing, and property operations, Jamie developed an innate ability to assess risk and protect large-scale portfolios.
Before transitioning to insurance, she worked in corporate facilities management for a national commercial bank with branches across five states and later spent seven years managing high-rise luxury condominiums in Downtown Miami.
Jamie’s expertise extends beyond traditional insurance placement—she actively consults on underwriting, portfolio risk strategy, and emerging market challenges in the ever-evolving commercial real estate landscape. She is also known for leveraging her extensive industry network to connect key stakeholders, facilitating strategic deals and partnerships.
A long-time member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Jamie has played an active role in shaping industry conversations. She has attended and spoken at numerous ICSC conferences nationwide, chaired the 2017 South Florida Idea Exchange, and served on the ICSC Florida State Committee for several years.
Beyond her professional achievements, Jamie is deeply committed to community impact and philanthropy. She co-founded the Miami-Dade chapter of 100+ Women Who Care, which raised over $300,000 for more than 50 local charities under her leadership.
Jamie is a dedicated mentor who strongly believes in the philosophy of “Givers Gain,” actively supporting and empowering the next generation of leaders in the commercial real estate industry. When she’s not advising clients, she enjoys traveling nationwide to cheer on her daughter Abigail’s competitive volleyball career and spending quality time cooking and coloring with her youngest daughter, Emily.
