Four FIU Business alumni were recognized with the 2022 Torch Award for making positive impacts on their profession, the community and the university.

Given by the FIU Alumni Association, the Torch Awards were created in memory of Senator Ernest R. Graham, who helped establish FIU 50 years ago.

Proceeds from the annual Torch Awards Gala benefit the First Generation Scholarship Program, which provides financial support to undergraduate students who are the first generation in their families to attain a college degree.

Since the program began in 2006, more than 10,000 First Generation Scholarships have been awarded to FIU students. Additionally, funds will be allocated for the future construction of the FIU Alumni Center.
