Admission to the Healthcare MBA program is based on a variety of factors and will be evaluated holistically. Our admissions team carefully screens each application to ensure candidates are an optimal fit for the program demands and objectives.
Admission requirements include:
Two years of professional work experience (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
Ability to meet all general university requirements for graduate degree program admission
In good standing with all previously attended colleges and universities
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
Grade point average of 3.0 or better based on upper-division coursework. Applicants with less than a 3.0 with strong work experience may be considered.

Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and/or universities. If the official transcripts are not in English, a second copy of the transcript must be evaluated by an official translation agency that is accredited by NACES and sent to our mailing address above. Applicants with foreign educational credentials in a language other than English must provide a translation from a recognized translation agency or official translator. The Graduate Admissions Office, as part of the admissions process, evaluates foreign credentials internally at no cost to the applicant. Some suggested agencies are listed below.

Current resume – detailing your chronological professional experience (two years of professional experience required)
Statement of Purpose —a one-page essay describing your professional goals and reasons for pursuing a master’s degree at Florida International University
Two Recommendation Letters from employers, faculty or professional associates
Applicants whose studies where completed in a country whose official language is not English, must demonstrate English proficiency by taking either the TOEFL or IELTS – a University list of exemptions is available here. These tests are available worldwide. There is a fee for the examination. Minimum scores for the TOEFL are: 80 internet-based, 550 paper-based, and 213 computer-based. Minimum score for the IELTS is 6.5. To obtain information about the TOEFL exam, please contact the English Language Institute 305-348-2222, or visit www.toefl.org. Although the GMAT or GRE is not required for this program, you may be asked to take it to strengthen your admission package.

DCF form The Declaration and Certification of Finances must be completed and returned to Graduate Admissions. Students with Internet access can complete the DCF form online. Once completed please print it and return it. Applicants are expected to show financial support in the amount of $74,233.00.
