Jose M. Aldrich is Acting Dean of the College of Business at Florida International University. Mr. Aldrich, a 35-year veteran of KPMG LLP, joined FIU on November 1, 2013. During his tenure at KPMG, he held numerous leadership positions, including Managing Partner in charge of KPMG’s tax practice in Latin America. He previously served as partner in charge of KPMG’s South Florida tax practice, and its New York-based Americas Tax Center.
He has traveled extensively through Asia, Europe, and Latin America, meeting with C-level executives to understand the needs of multinational enterprises and the global trends that affect their business decisions.
Now, as Acting Dean of FIU’s College of Business, Mr. Aldrich’s responsibilities include leading the College’s internal finance and management information systems teams, overseeing strategic and operational planning, and working with the college’s development team in ongoing fundraising efforts.
Mr. Aldrich received a Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Miami. He is a licensed attorney and Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Florida Institute of CPAs and the Florida Bar. He has served as a member of the Dean’s Council of the College of Business, and FIU’s Foundation Board. He is also Former President of the Cuban American CPA Association and a former member of the Board of the Florida International Bankers Association.
