Professional Activities

Debra Vander Meer is a Professor of Information Systems at Florida International University. Her current research interests focus on applying concepts from computer science and information systems to real-world problems. Her work appears in premier journals and conferences in these areas. Prior to joining FIU, she spent a decade working in industry, including roles in a venture-funded startup. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, and a PhD in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
