Professional Activities

Pablo Simón is Professor of Managerial and Financial Accounting in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of FIU, where he has been a member of the faculty since January 2008 first, as an part-time instructor, and for four year already as an adjunct full time faculty. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive, Certified Internal Controls Auditor, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and a Certified Internal Auditor. He has a Masters in Science in Management (Taxation Accounting Program) from Florida International University, a Master in Public Accounting, and a Master in Arts from the University of Miami. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professional Association. He has over ten years of experience in teaching accounting at the University of Miami, Miami Dade College and other colleges including online college accounting courses. He worked as an external and internal auditor for many years and was a Fiscal Manager at the University of Miami for over 20 years.
