Professional Activities

Dr. Mesia is an operations and business development executive with worldwide expertise in supply chain management, industrial engineering and international business. He has worked for over 25 years in Fortune 50 companies such as Federal Express, AeroThrust Corporation, Microsoft Corporation and Nortel Networks in various supply chain and industrial engineering executive positions.

He has experience in leading rapid growth and geographically dispersed service organizations. He offers an extensive background that spans adoption of best practices in a high performance, high volume, distribution and fulfillment operations. His has expertise in transportation, supply and demand, inventory management, logistics modeling, warehousing, outsourcing service and contract management.

Dr. Mesia has taught at other universities in South Florida and in Illinois. His areas of research are logistics management and inventory optimization in Latin America.
