Professional Activities

Dr. Arun Kumaraswamy’s research spans the fields of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and International Business. Specifically, he studies  management of innovation, and technology catch-up in emerging economies.

Dr. Kumaraswamy has co-authored articles in reputable journals, and has co-edited the book Managing in the Modular Age: Architectures, Networks and Organizations. He was a guest editor of the Journal of World Business Special Issue on “Institutions, entrepreneurship and co-evolution in International Business”, and the Journal of Management Studies Special Issue on "Managing in the age of disruptions". He serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Management and Journal of World Business.

Before joining FIU in Fall 2016, Dr. Kumaraswamy had taught at Rutgers University (Camden), Singapore Management University, Temple University, and West Chester University of PA.
