Professional Activities

Mr. Pappacena has over 35 years of global business experience and worked in 50+ countries throughout his career.  As a senior partner in PwC and Arthur Andersen, he held various senior executive leadership roles at global, regional, and country levels, in addition to his client service responsibilities.   

He has advised global and multinational companies in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, consulting with C-level executives in corporate and business strategy, business model design and innovation, digital transformation, organizational strategy, geopolitical risk management, and mergers & acquisitions. 

Currently, as CEO of Cani Investments LLC, he is responsible for translating global macro trends into investment insights and strategies encompassing equity and fixed income, alternative investments, real assets, and angel investing in digital technology startups.  He is also a senior investment advisor to private equity firms and a strategic advisor/board member in private companies.

As a member of PwC’s global leadership team, Mr. Pappacena held a number of executive leadership roles, including Global Chief Strategy and Business Model Innovation Officer, responsible for leading the firm’s global strategic positioning and alignment, strategic acquisitions and investments, global brand strategy, business model digital transformation, and geopolitical risk management across 150+ countries around the world.  He also led PwC’s business model innovation strategy by building a global 20,000-people team and developing digital service capabilities across multiple countries around the world to leverage PwC’s global footprint.

Prior to PwC, Mr. Pappacena was a partner at Arthur Andersen, where his leadership roles included Global Managing Partner of the Strategy, Organization & Change business; Regional Managing Partner of the Latin America Business Consulting practice; US Managing Partner of the Professional & Business Services industry; and member of the firm’s Leadership Development Executive Committee.

He is an Adjunct Professor of Strategy & International Business at Florida International University’s Chapman Graduate School of Business, where he has won the awards of Best Professor and Best Course for six straight years as students find his real-life teaching style very relevant to the business challenges they face in a complex global environment. 

Mr. Pappacena holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (Beta Gamma Sigma honors) and a degree in Economics & Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires (academic honors).  He has completed post-graduate specialization certifications in global strategy, international economics, and global leadership at the Harvard Business School, the MIT Sloan School of Management, and the INSEAD Business School.  He holds a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Directors’ Consortium, a joint program of the University of Chicago, Stanford, and Dartmouth Schools of Business.
