Professional ActivitiesDr. Carmenate has extensive professional experience in varied accounting, human resources, tax, and finance fields, with more than twenty years of experience in the public and governmental accounting. As a Senior Executive in various public and private organizations, Dr. Carmenate also has solid management and financial background with extensive knowledge of all aspects of public and governmental accounting and auditing, including accounts payables, accounts receivables, financial reporting, payroll administration, bank reconciliations, asset management, cost accounting and tax accounting. Dr. Carmenate also has experience in accounting operations, designing procedures and maintaining internal controls. Dr. Carmenate formally was the Senior Associate Controller & Director of Purchasing Services at Florida International University. Dr. Carmenate is a Florida Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Accounting Association. His dissertation is titled “Merger and Acquisition Financial Reporting Outcomes: An Examination of Non-Audit Fees and the Impact on Auditor Independence,.” |
