The Truist FIU Financial Wellness Clinic will serve as a solutions center focused on providing financial education and resources to engage the community. The partnership will enable FIU’s College of Business to host workshops and lectures on a variety of relevant personal finance topics affecting high school students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools*, their parents, and our own FIU students. Together, we will empower generations to achieve financial wellness. The Truist FIU Financial Wellness Clinic generates cross-discipline teams of exceptional teachers, innovators, scholars and students who create new disruptive models of technology-assisted learning (TAL) to engage students on a deeper level.
*Currently only open to Coral Reef and Coral Gables Senior High Schools.

Supplement gap in personal finance education with a focus on financial goal setting. The first year will be a collaboration with Coral Reef and Coral Gables Senior High.
FIU Students
With a focus on post-baccalaureate financial planning and career mapping.

With a focus on college affordability and retirement planning.

Felipe Colon Anduray, BBA candidate ‘22
Felipe Colon Anduray is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Economics with a certificate in Pre-Law. He is a member of several organizations at FIU, including ALPFA, PIF, BAP, and NextGen. Felipe has excelled academically, is a member of the Honors College, and has attained Dean's List recognition. Prior to arriving at FIU, Felipe graduated Cum Laude and as a Hispanic Heritage Foundation Hispanic Youth Scholar from School for Advance Studies, attaining an Associate’s Degree from Miami Dade College prior to graduating high school. In early 2018, Felipe served as the Federal Relations Intern with FIU's Washington D.C. Government Relations office, aiding to ensure FIU's federal priorities are met, delivered, and secured in Congress and with the various federal agencies of the United States government. Felipe aspires to pursue a career in Latin American Investment Banking, within a Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Group, with goals of obtaining a Juris Doctorate and MBA.
Michael Almeida, BBA candidate ‘22
Michael Almeida is from Miami, Florida and graduated from Southwest Miami High School as an AP Scholar with Distinction. At Southwest, Michael received an Academic Excellence award from Mari Tere Rojas, District 6 School Board Member for Miami-Dade County during his senior year. He also received the Congressional Medal of Merit from Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, U.S. Representative. Michael graduated as the Executive President from the Southwest’s Academy of Finance and Vice President of the National Honor Society. During Michael’s senior year in high school, he audited the Student Managed Investment Fund class at Florida International University. At Florida International University, Michael plans to pursue a major in Finance while auditing the Student Managed Investment Fund every semester.
