Ornella Desiree Bellia has a legal background and international experience within the global sports industry, having worked for football clubs, leading law firms, and sports institutions in five different countries. She is the head of professional football at FIFA, leading key projects aimed at professionalizing football all over the world and at creating a more sustainable and appealing entertainment and sporting product.

She is a lecturer for several academic courses in sports management and sports law, a speaker at international conferences, a member of the advisory board of the World Football Summit, and co-director of the FIFA Diploma in Club Management. She is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
