Designations, Licenses, Credentials, and Memberships
One of the many benefits of earning a Master of Science in International Real Estate at FIU is that you will receive substantial course credits towards several designations and licenses. You’ll also become a student member of prestigious organizations that provide resources and allow you to connect with seasoned professionals while you complete the MSIRE program.
This includes:
- Preparing to become ARGUS certified
- Earning substantial credits towards your Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. You will be able to waive 3 of the 4 core CCIM courses.
- Satisfying a substantial portion of courses for the Appraisal Institute’s MAI designation
- Receiving credit towards respective Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) courses for state licensing
- Becoming a student member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)
- Student membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Having a streamlined pathway to the RICS credentialing process, bypassing the five years of relevant experience typically required by the organization
