Display Your Cybersecurity Skills and Network with Business Leaders!
The ATOM Annual Cybersecurity Strategy Challenge purposes FIU Business and Cybersecurity students to look towards the future of cybersecurity and cyber resilience. The challenge aims to develop and refine the cybersecurity leadership skills of our FIU Business students in handling complex, evolving cybersecurity incidents that sometimes involve multi-organizations or multi-nations. FIU students will gather to assess cybersecurity threats and conduct cybersecurity risk assessment, threat identification, prevention and remediation based on a realistic situation, under this year’s challenge theme: "Ransomware Targeting the Healthcare and Public Health Sector in a Pandemic."
Tasked with a real-life business problem, purposes FIU Business and Cybersecurity students work collaboratively to form analytical and research-based perspectives, and develop collaborative, critical thinking, and research skills. Student competitors formally present their innovative solutions comprising of cybersecurity policy and strategy, to a panel of senior business and cybersecurity leaders.
Challenge Guidelines
A cybersecurity incident scenario will be offered to student competing teams who share the major findings of their research and analysis, to a panel of judges comprised of business industry leaders, who critique and select the winning competitors. This is a great opportunity for student to showcase their cybersecurity skills to potential employers.
First-place winners will be sponsored to represent FIU Business at the 9/12 Strategy Challenge, an international cybersecurity challenge!
