Dania Triff is a seasoned big data expert that manages the NextEra customer service data science team, a group of data scientists and engineers creating innovative solutions to complex enterprise business problems.
After finishing her graduate studies in engineering, Dania’s data-centric career started as a researcher, computer science professor and textbook author, moving soon after to a consulting role designing and implementing large data warehouse systems for large corporations.
During her lifetime, Dania has led many teams in successful data implementation in a variety of industries in the USA, Europe and Latin America. Some of her previous clients include Ryder communications, Burger King, Electronic Arts and VISA. She believes that the success of an analytics project resides on applying rigorous academic principles, combined with thinking outside the box and a practical design.
Prior to her current role with NextEra, Dania was the VP of Business Intelligence for Virgin Mobile Latin America, and the Global Head of Business intelligence for Cable and Wireless Communications. Dania is an executive with hands-on expertise, who is passionate about code and technology, and currently holds several industry big data professional certifications.
