- Financial Management Association (FMA)
The mission of the FMA is to promote the development and understanding of basic and applied research and sound financial practices, and to enhance the quality of education in finance. The FMA International Organization offers many benefits to its members including access to materials such as resume banks, job boards, online libraries and video series, complimentary access to Wall Street Prep's Ultimate Guide, complimentary Subscription to Financial Management journal, and complimentary membership to the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII). It also includes discounted rates for material such as the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance (JACF), Journal of Financial Education (JFEd), and Titles from Survey and Synthesis Series. Additionally, FMA International offers many national finance competitions only available to FMA members.
The FMA Student Chapter at FIU serves as a bridge between students and the corporate finance world. Our mission is to prepare students for their future in the financial sector by introducing them to finance professionals, conducting resume-building workshops, and preparing them for interviews. FMA’s goal is to create a strong foundation for students to use throughout their professional careers. Additionally, the FMA student chapter at FIU offers an Honors Society for students that display strong academic performance in upper-level finance coursework.

- Phoenician Investment Fund (PIF)
The Phoenician Investment Fund (PIF) is a Florida International University student-run initiative dedicated to further educating its members in the language of finance and investing. Members are actively involved in simulation-based finance and investment activities ranging from equity research, investment banking, securities trading, financial modeling, and asset valuation, among other activities.
Distinct from other FIU organizations, the Phoenician Investment Fund provides its members an opportunity to gain relevant experience through the practical application of financial and investment knowledge. Our primary objective is to significantly heighten members’ chances of obtaining internships and full-time positions in Wall Street-like careers such as sales and trading, investment banking, and asset management.
