The International Hospitality Institute recognized two FIU Business luxury experts in its 2022 Top 100 Most Powerful People in Hospitality list, recognizing them as change-makers and influencers.
Anna Pietraszek, director of global operations and assistant teaching professor of marketing and logistics at FIU Business, was named one of the 100 Most Powerful People in USA Hospitality “I am humbled and honored to be part of this inspiring group,” she said.
Deepak Ohri, executive in residence at FIU Business’s Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center, was recognized as one of the 100 Most Powerful People in Global Hospitality.
The founder and CEO of lebua Hotels and Resorts, Ohri is well-known for the concept of ‘experiential luxury,’ where he believes the focus should be on creating lasting emotional experiences for guests.
FIU Business launched the Luxury Incubator MBA Project, which combines classroom and hands-on learning and includes an international residency component, in 2021. The next program is “Experiential Immersion – Thailand 2022,” a faculty development program.
The program is scheduled for October 2022 and is a partnership between the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center and FIU’s Center for International Business Education and Research.
