Entrepreneurship programs ranked among top 50.

The graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurship programs at FIU, which include programs at FIU Business, have again been ranked among the top 50 entrepreneurship programs in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. The rankings, which will appear in the December issue of Entrepreneur magazine, were developed through a partnership between the magazine and The Princeton Review. The FIU graduate program is ranked No. 29, up from No. 38 in 2021. The undergraduate program is ranked No. 32 up from No. 42 in 2021.

More than 250 colleges and universities were considered for the 2022 rankings, with the top 50 being ranked.

“Students who enroll at these schools will find themselves at the forefront of innovation and development, often with an interdisciplinary focus that acknowledges the interconnectedness of today's economy,” noted an article accompanying the rankings.

The rankings are based not only on the university’s entrepreneurship programming, but also its graduates’ success rates in the business world, the number of mentors available for students and more.

FIU Business offers entrepreneurship classes at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Programs include a minor in entrepreneurship for non-business majors and online program students, an entrepreneurship specialization in the Professional MBA Online program and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship program. For many years, FIU Business has partnered with the  Miami Herald to host a Startup Pitch competition and the college is home to the Eugenio Pino and Family Global Entrepreneurship Center, as well as a Florida Small Business Development Center.

The FIU rankings are also based on entrepreneurship offerings, initiatives and other information from the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the College of Engineering and Computing, StartUP FIU and the Honors College.
