Colleagues, in collaboration with the Center for Advancement of Teaching (CAT) and Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) collaboration we are pleased to present the following training opportunities specifically for College of Business Faculty.

Part 1: Teaching with AI Workshop: An Introduction to AI Course Integration | A 3-Day Virtual Workshop for Faculty
This workshop is facilitated by Dr. Jenn Gebelein, Director for AI Integration and Faculty Success. This three-day virtual workshop is intended for faculty who do not have a working familiarity with generative AI and who wish to incorporate AI into their course/s while aligning with current pedagogical practices. Participants will learn the fundamentals of AI integration with curriculum using active learning strategies that engage students’ attention, creativity and critical thinking.
The Teaching with AI Workshop has 3 live, virtual sessions:
Fridays, April 25, May 2, and May 9, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. via Zoom
There are also assessments between workshops where faculty will receive input and feedback.

Part 2: AI in Action: Writing Assignment and Assessment Design | A 3-Day Virtual Workshop for Faculty
This three-day virtual workshop is intended for faculty with a working familiarity with generative AI who wish to deepen their pedagogical practice. Participants will explore strategies for integrating AI into assignments in ways that promote critical thinking, rhetorical awareness, and real-world relevance.
The AI in Action Workshop has 3 live, virtual sessions:
Fridays, April 25, May 2, and May 9, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. via Zoom
There are also assessments between workshops where faculty will receive input and feedback.

- How might AI-infused assignments help students build essential workplace skills and achieve course goals?
- How can AI-based assignments foster deeper engagement and mirror real-world communication?
- How should faculty approach assessment when AI is part of the learning process?
Benefits to Faculty
Faculty will receive individualized feedback as they develop or revise assignments that:
- Incorporate AI to support the development of core writing, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Move beyond simply incorporating AI toward assignments where AI plays a central role in learning, (e.g., roleplay, scenarios, and mentoring/coaching)
- Include assessments that accurately measure student learning and skill-development, even when assisted by AI tools
- Receive feedback from peers and WAC team on their assignments and assessments
