Display Your Cybersecurity Skills and Network with Business Leaders!
A cybersecurity incident scenario will be offered to student competing teams who share the major findings of their research and analysis, to a panel of judges comprised of business industry leaders, who critique and select the winning competitors. This is a great opportunity for student to showcase their cybersecurity skills to potential employers.
First-place winners will be sponsored to represent FIU Business at the 9/12 Strategy Challenge, an international cybersecurity challenge!
Scholarship Awards
Challenge winners each receive monetary awards towards tuition! The winning team will also be sponsored to represent FIU Business at the Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge.
Competition Rules
- The project submission must be entirely the work of the student team. While faculty and other individuals can help review the submission, they should not contribute to the content of the report or the solution.
- Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
- The contest materials must be submitted by the due dates. Late submissions will not be accepted and no extensions will be given.
Judging Criteria
Teams will be judged on five key points regarding the quality of the analysis performed and the solution proposed, as well as the quality of the presentation.
- Understanding of cyber policy
- Identification of key issues
- Policy response options - analysis and selection option
- Structure and communication
- Originality and creativity
