FIU’s ATOM COVID-19 DATATHONSubmission Requirements

Deliverable consists of two components:

  1. Innovative data analysis and/or solution – must be submitted via a single link through which judges have access to interact with and test the proposed innovation -- each team may include, but will not be limited to, any of the following:
    • Electronic dashboard(s) with visualizations
    • Machine learning algorithms
    • Simulations
    • Architectural designs – ideally would include virtual/augmented reality components
    • App development – proof of concept
  2. Video pitch – limited to 10 minutes, maximum – each team will submit a link to the video that summarizes their work, interprets their results, and clarifies the team’s vision of how to utilize their innovation.

 Important Rules/Guidelines

  1. Teams may consist of up to 4 members, no larger.
  2. Only ONE submission per team is permitted.
  3. Each submission must clearly state the names and email addresses of ALL team members.
  4. Teams must submit their own original work in compliance with all copyright and legal restrictions, and all work must align with the theme of the Datathon.
  5. Submissions must be complete at the time of submission – fully accessible by the judges as well as fully documented. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
  6. Submissions must be made by the deadline of Saturday August 1, 2020 by 2 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
