ATOM Pink TankGoal

The primary goal of the Pink Tank initiative is to encourage female students to overcome self-doubt and relentlessly pursue their education and dreams. This objective will be facilitated by engaging students in projects that provide opportunities to learn valuable soft and hard skills from BankUnited mentors, FIU information systems and business analytics (ISBA) faculty and subject matter experts from various industries.

During fall 2020, in partnership with BankUnited, FIU Business will launch its inaugural "Pink Tank," led by the same ISBA faculty who lead the college's ATOM Think Tank. The Pink Tank will create a space for female students to hone critical skills under the mentorship of BankUnited executives who will serve as business coaches intent on challenging students to dream bigger, and teaching them how to enhance their career paths and navigate their corporate journey.

During spring 2021, participants of the Pink Tank will compete in a hackathon to utilize their STEM skills for solving real-world challenges regarding equity, diversity and inclusion in South Florida companies. In addition, Pink Tank participants will then pay it forward by mentoring local high school students.

The inaugural Pink Tank experience will begin in fall 2020 and conclude with a presentation at the FIU Power Up Women's Leadership Summit in March 2021.
