Female students pursuing STEM careers, join the conversation!

To engage female business students and increase awareness of the possibilities for careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

In today's climate, we are still seeing a deficit of young women pursuing STEM careers as well as a deficit of women employed by, or owning, STEM companies. Women make up only 28% of the workforce in STEM-related roles, and men vastly outnumber women majoring in most STEM fields in college. The gender gaps are particularly large in some of the fastest-growing and highest-paid jobs of the future, such as data analytics and cyber security.

The Pink Tank initiative strives to open a conversation and address these challenges through the lens of business within our student body and community.

Students selected for this project will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in hack-a-thon style competition to solve real life problems
  • Receive mentoring from BankUnited executives
  • Participate in leadership discussion forums to receive industry insights and network for career opportunities

Application Deadline: Monday, December 21, 2020
