Master of International Business

The 12-month Master of International Business (MIB) program aims to produce top notch specialist talent that is highly competitive in the global marketplace. It is a highly dynamic, rigorous, and relevant program taking an innovative, multidisciplinary approach to the current realities shaping global business. The MIB program consists of 30-credit-hours of coursework with each semester broken down into 8-week sessions. Students take two courses per session.

The program’s curriculum has been formulated to match the current reality of the global economy and provide students with relevant skills sought by employers. The curriculum emphasizes geopolitics, international entrepreneurship, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, an experiential consulting project, and emerging markets. The program also includes an international trip to observe business in a foreign location and a local trip to observe international business activities in the Miami area.

There is an increasing need for specialized business degrees, and the MIB is a strong value proposition for future career potential. FIU is one of the top international business schools in the USA. Our international business programs are highly ranked, and our faculty members are renowned international business researchers and experienced businesspersons. FIU is one of only 15 schools in the US who have been granted a federal grant to operate a Center for International Business Education and Research. Additionally, as the bridge between Latin America and Asia, a global trade hub, and a highly diverse cultural space, Miami offers an ideal environment for international business education.
