Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be fully admitted into the MSHRM Online or Face-to-Face program
  • Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA
  • Current or former officer with at least one year of service with a local chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

  • 500-1,000 word essay describing your involvement with your local SHRM chapter and the importance of the scholarship assistance to you in meeting your professional and personal goals.

  • Current state or municipal employee outside of the Higher Education

  • 500-1,000 word essay describing your personal aspirations and career goals and the importance of the scholarship assistance to you in meeting these goals. Please include any information that would give the Scholarship Committee a better understanding of the importance of this scholarship to you. The essay may also include your commitment to remain and practice Human Resources in your municipality or state other plans post-graduation

    • Broward College

    • University of South Florida
  • At least one year of professional experience in Human Resources

  • 500-1,000 word essay describing your personal aspirations and career goals, and the importance of the scholarship assistance to you in meeting these goals. Please include any information that would give the Scholarship Committee a better understanding of the importance of this scholarship to you. Your essay could also include your commitment to remain and practice Human Resources in the state of Florida or state other plans post-graduation

  • At least one year of professional experience in Human Resources OR have an undergraduate degree with a concentration in Human Resources

Please include any information that would give the Scholarship Committee a better understanding of the importance of this scholarship to you.   • Must be a current employee with an organization that is a member on the FIU MSHRM Advisory Board
  • Must have at least one year of professional experience in Human Resources

  • 500-1,000 word essay describing your personal aspirations and career goals, and address the importance of the scholarship assistance to you in meeting these goals. Please include any information that would give the Scholarship Committee a better understanding of the importance of this scholarship to you. The essay could also include your current role in Human Resources and your commitment to the Human Resource field or other plans post-graduation.

Total Awards: 6 per academic year (2 per cohort at the start of each term)

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be fully admitted into the MSHRM Online or Face-to-Face program
  • Candidates must demonstrate active participation in classroom or virtual discussions, or exhibit a leadership role during the program
  • Faculty may also nominate students for this scholarship.
  • Candidates demonstrating financial need and strong academic credentials will be given preference
  • 500-1,000 word essay describing your personal aspirations and career goals, and address the importance of the scholarship assistance to you in meeting these goals. Please include any information that would give the Scholarship Committee a better understanding of the importance of this scholarship to you.

Several scholarships are available to graduate students that meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate students admitted to one the following online programs: Human Resource Management, International Business, International Real Estate, or Healthcare MBA
  • Scholarship amounts vary per program and funding levels
  • Minimum 3.25 upper-level undergraduate GPA
  • Scholarship application must be submitted by program admission deadline

Other than the Book Scholarship, all other scholarships will be awarded prior to the start of the term. The deadline for all scholarship application and supporting documents to be submitted is July 19, 2017.

All documents must be submitted at the same time in order to be considered for the scholarship. You may submit an application to multiple scholarships that you qualify for.
