Healthcare MBAProgram Details

Fast-Paced Cohort Based Program

Complete the program in 18 months.

Program starts in January at FIU at 1-75 and in August at FIU Downtown on Brickell. Classes meet on Saturdays only in a hybrid format.

Program requires 42 credit hours of coursework and successful completion of three residencies.

  • Unlimited opportunity to interact with fellow classmates and build lasting relationships.
  • Program residencies include team building, communications, Excel fundamentals, presentation skills, as well as Lean Six Sigma (LSS) certification (Students have the ability to complete LSS Yellow and Green Belt certifications as part of the program).
  • Visual Analytics with Tableau
  • Certification through the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS).
  • Opportunity to travel abroad and complete an Advanced Certificate in Global Healthcare Administration.
  • SFHEF (South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum) Annual Case Competition – Open to current Healthcare MBA students, business case competitions teach future leaders in healthcare how to translate knowledge into an action plan. Students also learn to incorporate classroom learning with teamwork, interpersonal communication, negotiation and influence. Analyzing a situation, diagnosing a problem, formulating solutions, presenting a recommendation, and gaining approval from an executive panel is one of the best processes you can learn in business school to ensure success. 
  • FIU’s Healthcare MBA degree is eligible for American Medical Association PRA Category 1 Credit (25 credits) as a Medically Related Advanced Degree. Any physician ( an individual who has completed an MD, DO or equivalent medical degree from another country) is eligible to apply for direct credit activities.
