Florida International University’s Healthcare MBA program recognized as recipient of the CAHME/George and Regi Herzlinger Innovation Education Award

The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) partnered with the George and Regi Herzlinger Charitable Fund to create a national award that honors the Herzlinger’s breakthrough contributions in creating and inspiring medical innovations. CAHME has recognized the Florida International University Healthcare MBA Program as the 2022 silver recipient of the CAHME/George and Regi Herzlinger Innovation Education Award. FIU was recognized at an awards ceremony during American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Annual Congress on March 27, 2022.

“This national award recognizes the significant impact that CAHME Accredited programs can have in providing the foundation in the principles of innovation for future leaders to be the change needed in healthcare,” said Anthony Stanowski, president and CEO of CAHME.

“Florida International University’s Healthcare MBA Program’s faculty research, local partnerships, coursework, and complimentary certifications for students, clearly illustrates the true uniqueness and innovative qualities of the program,” said Regina Herzlinger, Nancy R. McPherson Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School.

“As a recipient of the CAHME/George and Regi Herzlinger Innovation Education Award, the Florida International University Healthcare MBA program is honored to be recognized as one of the nation’s top healthcare educational programs. The award reflects FIU’s commitment to preparing graduates to not only understand the complex business environment of healthcare but also to enable them to act as policymakers and change agents to improve the delivery of care. The program will use this generous award to fund student scholarships and provide faculty research grants. We share this wisdom with our students as part of our mission,” said Miriam Weismann, academic director of FIU’s Healthcare MBA program.
