Graduate Certificate in Healthcare ManagementFinancial Aid

Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare are not eligible to receive federal financial aid. Students have the option of applying for a Private/Alternative Loan to help cover 100% of the cost of the program.

Private student loans are non-federal educational loans available from a variety of national lending institutions. Eligibility for these loans is based upon a student’s credit history, income and other requirements set by the lender. Students should request a copy of their credit report and check it for any errors prior to submitting an application for a private loan. An application can be requested directly from the private lender of your choice.

FIU provides a sampling of private loans at ELM select is an external website that allows students to review the Lender List, compare products, and apply for private loans.

Private Loan Certification Process and Disbursement

The U.S. Department of Education requires that borrowers complete an Applicant Self-Certification form when requesting any private educational loans. Do not submit your self-certification form to the financial aid office, as FIU cannot complete the form for you. Once you have completed the form you will need to submit it to your lender.
