MS in Health Informatics & AnalyticsCourse Schedule and How to Register for Classes

How to Register for Classes

Your program administration will handle all course registrations. Please confirm that you have no holds that may prevent registration. To check your holds, please visit

If you are logging into FIU's system for the first time, your password will be in the date of birth format DDMonYYYY. Example, if you were born April 20, 1998 your default password will be 20Apr1998.

Course Schedule and Sequence

This is a hybrid cohort-style program. This means that students must take courses in a pre-determined order and with the same group of students. Courses run on an 8-week schedule and two out of the 8 sessions will be fully online, making this a hybrid program.

Please click here for the course schedule. Dates provided are tentative and subject to change.

Students in the MS in Health Informatics and Analytics (MSHIA) program will be registered for courses by the program administration prior to the beginning of each term.

Books and other class material

You are responsible for purchasing books and other class materials before the first day of class to ensure you’re well-prepared. You may find the required book or materials on the syllabus for each class, which we will share with you prior to the beginning of each term or as soon as faculty release it. Otherwise, you may check textbook requirements on the FIU Bookstore site.
