1. Submit Admission Deposit

An admission deposit of $200 is due upon acceptance into the program to reserve your space. This fee is applied toward your tuition.

2. Sign Important Program Documents

The below forms must be completed and signed prior to orientation.

3. Apply for Financial Aid (U.S. students only)

IMPORTANT: Admitted students who have completed the FAFSA application will be offered Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans. Graduate students may borrow up to a maximum of $20,500 per academic year through the Federal Direct Loan program. The actual amount a student is eligible to borrow cannot exceed the program cost of attendance, minus any other assistance received.

4. Finalize Your Admissions File

  • Submit official documents and test scores.
    FIU admission is based on the academic information available upon review of your application by the Admissions Office. You must submit any outstanding official documents and/or test scores prior to the end of your first semester.
  • Submit residency documents.
    If you are seeking in-state tuition you must submit your proof of residency. This determines your cost of tuition. Click here for more information.

5. Submit Your Immunizations Record

FIU requires all students comply with the Florida Board of Governors’ immunization policy regulations regarding immunity of Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Meningitis.

6. Purchase Medical Insurance (international students only)

Proof of medical insurance must be submitted to the Health Services Office, in one of two ways:

  1. Purchase the FIU Sponsored Health Insurance Plan, or
  2. Submit the International Student Alternative Health Insurance Compliance Form. Completed by your current insurance company and approved by FIU-SHS.
