Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER)

CIBER at FIU Business supports activities such as a global mindset boot camp for students; scholarships for international internships and study abroad; an international business seminar series; video chats that link FIU students with those in other countries; foreign language courses; and faculty research and development programs in South Korea, India and Cuba.

Capital Market's Lab

The Lab is a 2,200 square-foot, state-of-the-art trading, research and teaching facility. Its purpose is to provide hands-on learning experiences for our students in professional software applications and tools using electronic sources of financial, marketing and investment data.  This facility provides data and information technology resources not only for finance courses, but also for a variety of disciplines, including accounting, marketing, decision sciences, international business and IT.

Truist FIU Financial Wellness Clinic

The Truist FIU Financial Wellness Clinic will serve as a solutions center focused on providing financial education and resources to engage the community.  The partnership will enable FIU’s College of Business to host workshops and lectures on a variety of relevant personal finance topics affecting high school students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, their parents, and our own FIU students. Together, we will empower generations to achieve financial wellness. The Truist FIU Financial Wellness Clinic generates cross-discipline teams of exceptional teachers, innovators, scholars and students who create new disruptive models of technology-assisted learning (TAL) to engage students on a deeper level.

Miami-Dade Business Navigator

The Miami-Dade Business Navigator (MDBN) program is an exciting local initiative funded (in part) through a grant from the U.S. Small Business  Administration (SBA). It is led by the Florida Small Business Development Center (FSBDC) at Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) in partnership with six experienced community organizations: Ascendus, Branches, the EDC of South Miami-Dade, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, Prospera, and StartUP FIU Procurement. Through the program, the group of community partners will connect with underserved local entrepreneurs in Miami-Dade County to launch, grow and revitalize their businesses. The MDBN program focuses on small businesses—including microbusinesses with fewer than 10 employees—owned by women, veterans, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
