Message from the Dean

Message from the Dean

As Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) closes out the 2024 — 2025 academic year, we look back with pride on what our students, faculty, staff and alumni accomplished and look forward to the year ahead.

With more than 3,500 undergraduate and graduate business degrees awarded, nearly 80,000 alumni and more than 160 full‐time faculty members active in research and the wider community, FIU Business continues to make a significant impact on the vibrant economy of South Florida and beyond.

The four-year graduation rate of our undergraduate students soared to 76.1% in 2024, up from 53% in 2020 — a significant accomplishment for a large urban business school and above the FIU average. The strides we have made are reflected in the growing reputation of FIU Business and in our rankings. In the fall of 2024, our undergraduate international business program was ranked No. 2 in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report for the sixth consecutive year. This past spring, our international business master’s program was ranked No. 5 in the nation, joining such elite institutions as Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown in the top five.
