U.S. News & World Report has placed the FIU Business undergraduate international business program at No. 2 in the nation in its "Best Colleges" rankings released in fall 2019. The program jumped four spots, up from No. 6 the previous year, placing it ahead of programs at universities including the University of Pennsylvania, New York University and Georgetown University. It is the sixth consecutive year that the FIU Business program has been ranked in the Top 10 by U.S. News.
The FIU Business International MBA program was ranked No. 8 in the nation and No. 3 among public universities in the U.S. News annual "Graduate School Rankings," which were released in March 2020. The program jumped four spots from the previous year, placing it ahead of programs at such universities as the University of California, Berkeley; Yale University; Stanford University and Northwestern University.
Both rankings are based on the college's national and global reputation for international business education. FIU Business has long been recognized for its global perspective. Its nearly 10,000 students and 150 faculty members represent 140 countries and the college has partnerships with 50 universities around the world. The college is also home to a Center for International Business Education and Research, one of just 15 such centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education nationwide and the only one in Florida.
