Grant Cardone Supports Students with Scholarships and Mentoring

Entrepreneur Grant Cardone has created a scholarship for students who are first in their families to attend college, and its impact will be tripled by Florida's unique scholarship funding program. A $25,000 gift establishing the Grant Cardone Foundation First Generation Scholarship Fund will be matched by $50,000 from state of Florida funds, bringing the total amount of assistance available to students to $75,000.

The scholarship will provide aid for state of Florida residents who are first-generation college students pursuing a degree at FIU Business. The scholarship will cover a full ride for two students every year, up to $7,500 per year, and a renewal option for up to four additional years, for a total of $30,000 to the recipient.

Scholarship recipients will also gain access to mentoring support and additional business resources through Cardone's training enterprise, Cardone Training Technologies Inc.

Founded by entrepreneur Grant Cardone, CEO of Aventura-based Cardone Capital, The Grant Cardone Foundation's mission is to impact 1 million lives in 2021 by providing education, mentorship and guidance to at-risk kids in underserved communities around the world. Cardone, who lost his father at the age of 10 and achieved success as an author, entrepreneur and speaker, created the foundation to partner with municipal agencies, corporations and other nonprofit entities to help deliver energy and educational resources to young people in need. "Let's teach success to those who think it's out of reach," Cardone said.

Established in 2006 by the Florida Legislature, FIU's First Generation Scholarship Program provides financial support to qualified undergraduate FIU students who are the first generation in their family to pursue a college degree. Starting in 2018–19, every $1 donated to the First Generation Scholarship Program has been matched by the state of Florida with $2.
