History
We opened our doors when Florida International University did—in 1972. The graduate school was named formally in 2001 as the Chapman Graduate School of Business and the undergraduate school was named officially in 2004 as the Landon Undergraduate School of Business.

Faculty
Our faculty of 100+ scholars and business leaders, representing 38 nationalities, includes internationally known experts in international business, information technology strategy, operations research, knowledge management, e-business, entrepreneurship, real estate, international banking and trade, consumer marketing, customer relationship management, global marketing, and corporate responsibility. They offer a wealth of research and teaching experience and practical business savvy.
Alumni
A fifth of our more than 25,000 alumni own their own businesses. Some 70 percent work in Florida, in organizations that collectively represent a major part of the state's economy, and a large number work for international or multinational firms.
AACSB Accreditation
The College of Business and the School of Accounting are accredited by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This accreditation was reaffirmed by a peer review team in 2013.
CAHME Accreditation
The Healthcare MBA Program is accredited by CAHME—The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. The program's initial accreditation was approved by CAHME's Board of Directors in 2013.

Our doctoral students earn their PhD with a concentration in one of the following areas: accounting, finance, management information systems or international management.
Executive and Professional Education
For working professionals, we offer a range of executive and professional education (non-degree) programs in accounting and finance, corporate strategy, general management, human resource management, leadership, marketing, professional development, project management, sales and negotiation, and real estate—to cite only a few. Seminars, customized programs, and programs in Spanish are also available.
Instructional Delivery
We offer instruction on site in traditional or web-assisted formats. We also offer fully online courses and programs, and courses that blend on site and online teaching in various ways.

Campuses
We're based in Modesto A. Maidique Campus in southwest Miami adjacent to the intersection of Tamiami Trail (S.W. 8th Street) and the Florida Turnpike. We also offer programs in the waterfront Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami, our Broward Pines Center in southwest Broward County, and at FIU Downtown on Brickell.
Our Miami location lets students enjoy the international, urban, and ethnic richness of the area's diverse culture. It also places us in a major center of technology, finance and international commerce, travel and tourism, international banking and real estate, and a growing cable television and entertainment industry.
