In Miami we have witnessed and been tested by a number of serious crises in recent years. Smart organizations have realized that they must have a carefully planned emergency response strategy to protect their people and their operations. Companies without such a plan are risking their business and their reputation.
FIU’s Crisis and Emergency Response Management program trains managers to develop their organization’s emergency preparations and crisis response. Participants learn how to plan for emergencies with appropriate organizational processes, contingency plans, and employee training. The program also focuses on how a crisis can impact public perceptions of the organization’s brand, image, and financial reputation.

- plan and coordinate an emergency communications strategy
- develop processes that minimize the potential damage to the company’s operations, and
- manage the media to protect your company’s reputation.
